ERG History

ERG was founded on Jan-10 1975. The 70cms repeater GB3ER was first on air on Sept-5 1976 sited at the former Marconi tower on Danbury Ridge. Four years later on Oct-2 1980 it was joined by GB3DA on 2m. Hardware and sites have changed over the years. ERG has a reasonable (though not complete) archive. Site Move: The GB3DA logbook marks the loss of the original site in Nov-1996 and move to the current one at what was then called the Eastern Group Telecomms (EGT) mast at Church Green in July-1997


Birthday:
In 2015 ERG celebrated its 40th Birthday in style at the Canvey Rally.
